After two days of mind-stretching workshops and discussions, you might like to stretch your body too. Pilates can help you improve your balance and develop a strong core, which can be a very useful thing in these shaky times.

Pilates is a physical fitness developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. Pilates presents his method as the art of controlled movements that can improve your body flexibility and strength as well as digestion and hormonal processes. The method puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. The core, consisting of the muscles of the abdomen, low back, and hips, is often called the "powerhouse" and is thought to be the key to a person's stability.

The Uroboros introduction to Pilates will be led by Tereza, a cultural critic and curator of contemporary art with focus on photography. Tereza studied History of Art and Theory of Art and Design in Prague and has always been involved in sports in parallel.
